Role : Electrical Supervisor
Pay Rate: £30 Per Hour PAYE
Location: Belfast , BT15
Contract Duration: 3 Months Contract (Potential For Extension)
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to oversee electrical works and ensure that installations, testing and processes meet the required UK regulations, safety standards and quality requirements.
The successful candidate will work closely with site managers, project teams, electrical contractors and other stakeholders to ensure electrical works are completed safely, efficiently and in line with BS 7671 (18th Edition) and relevant statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and oversee electrical works across construction and project sites.
- Ensure all electrical installations comply with BS 7671 (18th Edition), Electricity at Work Regulations and relevant Building Regulations.
- Carry out electrical inspections, audits and compliance checks.
- Identify electrical safety or compliance issues and ensure appropriate corrective actions are taken.
- Oversee electrical testing, commissioning and certification.
- Provide technical advice and guidance to site teams, contractors and project management.
- Monitor the quality and safety of electrical works.
- Ensure contractors and subcontractors follow required electrical standards, procedures and safe working practices.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of electrical compliance procedures.
- Assist with risk assessments and electrical safety requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, testing, certification and compliance activities.
- Liaise with external bodies, regulatory authorities and relevant organisations when required.
- Keep up to date with changes to electrical regulations, legislation and industry standards.
- Support and deliver electrical safety and compliance awareness/training where required.
- Report any significant electrical risks, defects or non-compliance to the relevant management team.
- Ensure all work is completed within required timescales and to the expected quality standards.
Essential Requirements
- Recognised electrical qualification, such as NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation, City & Guilds 2365 or equivalent.
- 18th Edition BS 7671 Wiring Regulations qualification.
- Previous experience working as an Electrical Supervisor, Electrical Site Supervisor or similar.
- Experience in electrical inspection, compliance, testing or auditing within a construction or related environment.
- Strong knowledge of UK electrical regulations and the Electricity at Work Regulations.
- Good understanding of electrical health & safety requirements.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively with site teams, contractors and other stakeholders.
- Full UK driving licence.
